RD recruitment attaches great importance to the careful and secure handling of privacy-sensitive information. In this privacy statement, we explain how we handle data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

II. Who we are

RD recruitment is located at De Ruyterkade 148 in Amsterdam. We are the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR. This means that we determine which data we process, for what purposes, and by what means. For our business operations, we use specialized partners (processors). We have made contractual agreements with them to safeguard your privacy.

III. Why and when do we collect your data?

We collect data to optimally fulfill our mediation role between candidates and clients. We do not work on the basis of one-off applications, but on the basis of an ongoing dialogue and long-term professional relationships.

We process data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Consent: For including your profile in our network.
  • Legitimate interest: To be able to contact you for relevant career steps within your field of expertise.
  • Pre-contractual measures: To take steps at your request towards a possible collaboration with a client.

IV. Use of AI and innovative technology

Within our secure business environment, RD recruitment uses modern technologies, including AI support (such as advanced language models within our trusted cloud environment). We use these tools for administrative purposes, such as analyzing market trends or summarizing profiles.

  • Safeguard: At RD recruitment, there is never fully automated decision-making. The assessment of your suitability and the decision to introduce you to a client is always the result of a human assessment by our consultants.

V. Which personal data do we process?

We only process data that is necessary for our services:

  • Contact details (name, email, phone number).
  • Curriculum Vitae (education, work experience, secondary activities).
  • Substantive notes from our conversations regarding your ambitions and expertise.
  • Relevant feedback and evaluations following your introductions to our clients.
  • Publicly accessible information, such as your LinkedIn profile.

VI. Third parties and discretion

Confidentiality is central to our approach. Your data is only shared with:

Clients: This happens only after consultation with you. We only introduce candidates to clients after we have discussed the position with you and you have given your consent.

System providers and storage: We use a specialized Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and professional cloud-based productivity tools. Our data is stored on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA). To the extent that our providers have access to data from countries outside the EEA, this occurs under strict safeguards (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses).

VII. Legal obligations

We only share data with government authorities if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g., based on a court order).

VIII. Retention period: focus on the relationship

RD recruitment retains personal data for as long as is necessary for our professional mediation relationship. We do not use a rigid end date but a relevance criterion:

  • We retain your data as long as you are part of our active network.
  • If you indicate that you no longer wish to be contacted by us, we will delete or anonymize your data upon your first request.
  • We perform periodic internal checks to ensure the accuracy and relevance of our database.

IX. Rights

  • Access and correction: To see what we know about you or to correct errors.
  • Deletion: The right to be completely erased from our systems.
  • Restriction or transfer: Temporarily stopping processing or requesting your file in a standard format.
