BlueMill bouwt voort op de ruime investeringservaring en het trackrecord van MKB Fonds, dat sinds 2011 actief investeert in Nederlandse ondernemingen. MKB Fonds en BlueMill richten zich op winstgevende B2B-bedrijven binnen onder meer value-added wholesale & distribution, business services en IT. MKB Fonds investeert voornamelijk in ondernemingen met een EBITDA van circa €1-3 miljoen, terwijl BlueMill zich richt op bedrijven met een EBITDA van circa €3-10 miljoen. Daarbij ligt de nadruk op ondernemingen met duidelijke mogelijkheden voor verdere professionalisering, schaalvergroting, internationale expansie en buy-and-build. Als stagiair maak je onderdeel uit van een investeringsteam van circa 10 professionals en werk je direct samen met de investment professionals aan nieuwe investeringen en bestaande participaties.

BlueMill zoekt een enthousiaste en ambitieuze student die als fulltime stagiair ervaring wil opdoen binnen private equity. Als stagiair ben je een volwaardig lid van het investeringsteam en werk je mee aan de volledige investeringscyclus: van het identificeren en analyseren van nieuwe investeringsmogelijkheden en het uitvoeren van transacties tot het ondersteunen van bestaande portfoliobedrijven. Afhankelijk van de transacties en projecten die tijdens je stage spelen, houd je je bezig met financiële analyses en waarderingen, markt- en bedrijfsanalyses, due diligence, investeringsvoorstellen en het identificeren en beoordelen van buy-and-buildacquisities. Job description
At Seven Lakes Partners, you’ll play an active role in live M&A transactions from start to finish, gaining exposure to every stage of the process. You’ll build financial models, draft client materials, and conduct market research across the global logistics, infrastructure, and food & agri sectors. Your work will help shape deal narratives, uncover opportunities, and support clients in complex strategic decisions.
From day one, you’ll take ownership of workstreams typically reserved for first-year analysts, with responsibilities growing in line with your initiative. You’ll work closely with senior team members in Amsterdam and New York, participate in client meetings, and contribute to cross-border deal execution. You’ll also help coordinate due diligence and process documentation, while being part of a diverse team that values your perspective and challenges you to think like a future dealmaker.

Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s student with strong quantitative skills, ideally in finance, economics, engineering, physics, or math
- Demonstrated interest in finance, through coursework, extracurriculars, internships or self-study
- Solid understanding of valuation and financial modelling, with hands-on experience in Excel and PowerPoint, and a sharp eye for detail
- Clear communicator in English, both written and spoken (Dutch not required)
